Exchange the rush for presence, through therapeutic Chi Kung
We live in a time when haste has become the norm, not the exception, and it is urgent to accept the invitation to the inner reunion through therapeutic Chi Kung.
In fact, the days follow one another at a fast pace, dominated by task lists, virtual environments, notifications and thoughts that project us to everything but the present moment.
In this silent race, often against ourselves, we disconnect from the body, emotions and what we really need. Throughout this article we will throw hints on how you can reduce stress, improve sleep and reconnect with the body through presence in day-to-day life.
When the body asks for pause and cries for mindfulness
The chronic rush has a cost. Persistent tiredness sets in, insomnia, anxiety, diffuse pains, a malaise difficult to name. The body begins to give signs that something is wrong!
And us? We often ignore, until it becomes impossible to continue at the same pace.
Learning to be present is not a utopia. It’s a practice.
To begin with you can stop at something as simple as stopping and breathing. Cultivating mindfulness in everyday life helps us to get out of the automatic mode, regulate the nervous system and find balance again.
In this way, it leads us to well-being, to the need for pause and rest.
Therapeutic Chi Kung, a movement that heals in the service of integral health
One of the most effective ways to return to presence is through therapeutic Chi Kung.
This is an ancient Chinese practice that combines slow movements, deep breathing and concentration. Contrary to what many think, it is not necessary to have experience or great physical preparation. This practice is accessible to all, and can be adapted to different needs, including therapeutic.
There are three principles underlying this practice: movement, breathing and concentration. In general the Chi Kung is characterized by movements and or postures in which the breath and the mind are used in a directed way.
The benefits of therapeutic Chi Kung are many and there are several studies to talk about them. Regular practice helps:
- to reduce stress and anxiety;
- to improve the quality of sleep;
- the balance of the immune system and reduces chronic inflammation;
- to combat cardiovascular problems (regulates blood pressure and heart rate);
- in mental and emotional health.
There is another aspect that we can never forget: it works the vital energy (Qi) and invites us to listen to the body with more respect and presence.

Open the doors to presence in day-to-day
Incorporating therapeutic Chi Kung into the routine does not require major changes. 10 to 20 minutes a day are enough to start a deep transformation. A moment to wake up, before meals or at the end of the day can become a real ritual of reunion with yourself (o).
Walk with awareness, breathe slowly, feel the body as you move. You have seen that they are simple gestures that have a real impact on the way we live everyday.
The best of all this is that it is in this space of pause that the real healing begins.
Allow yourself to inner change for greater emotional balance
If you feel that the rush has guided your days and that the body asks for silence and pause, maybe it is time to listen.
As we have seen previously, therapeutic Chi Kung is more than a practice, it is, first of all, a way to reconnect with the essential.
If you think you have to wait for the ideal moment, you are mistaken. The first step, that ideal moment you long for, can be as simple as stopping… and breathing.
Sometimes we just need a professional follow-up incentive to make it happen and the moment comes.
Start again… if you can, without anguish and without haste and the steps that you take on this hard path of the future, give them in freedom, while you do not reach rest, of no fruit you want only half.” (Miguel Torga)
